UC Irvine's Robotic Oncology Center harnesses robotic technology, which can result in better outcomes for cancer patients. Part of the university's Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center — one of only 41 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the nation and the only one in Orange County — the robotic center was created to advance the field of robot-assisted surgery through highly specialized research, treatment and training programs.
